The border between the United States and Canada is 5,525 miles long, making it the world’s longest international border. There are more than one hundred points of entry from thirteen different U.S. states. No matter where you’re entering Canada, however, you’ll need to make sure all your official documents are in order before you go. If you’ve ever had a conviction or even charges filed against you, you could face challenges.

At Mundial Law, we place a high value on the arts, which is why we support entertainment professionals who are headed into Canada. We understand that getting turned around at the border could mean missing an important shoot, leaving the rest of the tour in the lurch, or losing your chance to see your film at a festival. Don’t leave these things to chance (or for the last minute!). Contact us to see how we can help get critical crew, performers, and other irreplaceable team members into Canada.

    • Congrats to Fishbone on their new album, Stockholm Syndrome, due out later this month. Our team had a great time at their performance and Q&A with W. Kamau Bell at the GRAMMY Museum on May 27th. It was so fun to get a preview of their latest songs!

Work Hard, Play Hard

There’s no better way to kick off a long holiday weekend than catching Kendrick Lamar and SZA at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. See more pics in our recent post. You can also check out all the fun stuff we do on our website!

Some Countries Require Visas to Enter Canada

Citizens and permanent residents of the United States only need their passports and green card, if applicable, to enter Canada as a visitor. A visa is not required.

People who are traveling on passports from “visa-required” countries must apply in advance for their visitor visa. The Government of Canada’s website offers a tool to help travelers determine if their passport-issuing country is a visa-required country.

Mundial Law can help individuals who will require a visa to enter Canada. To learn more, you can download this resource.

Sam Lee is a part-time assistant at Mundial Law. He recently graduated from California State University Northridge (CSUN). To complete his degree in Computer Science, he worked on a senior design project called “Infinity VR” to make an interactive virtual environment for a foot-controlled prosthetic arm that the mechanical engineering team has been developing. Sam’s group started the project, and it will continue to be developed by the incoming seniors.

Catherine Yang is the case manager’s assistant at Mundial Law. She graduated with her Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Early Childhood Education from County College of Morris in New Jersey. She’ll be continuing her education at Montclair State University and majoring in Foundational Education to receive her bachelor’s degree. She plans to one day become an elementary school teacher, specifically teaching second grade.

Congratulations Sam and Catherine! We wish you much success in your future plans!
