Criminal Inadmissability Waivers & Rehabilitation
A person is inadmissible if they have been convicted or have pending charges for an offense that would be considered a violation of the laws of Canada, such as the Criminal Code or Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
A person who is inadmissible must apply for a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) / waiver to enter Canada for any purpose or any duration. An application must be filed with the Consulate, and applying in advance is preferred.
Mundial Law offers a free review of your FBI report to advise you on your waiver options. You can apply for your report at https://fieldprintusa.com/. Step by step instructions can be downloaded HERE.
Work Permits for Film and Television
People can travel to Canada for short-term visits that are work- or business-related, such as to go to meetings, attend film festivals, go to an audition, etc., without getting a work permit.
Most film and television work in Canada requires a “closed” work permit that is specific to one employer, one project, and/or one location (city). Some people qualify for an “open” work permit because they are the spouse or dependent child of a person who has been issued a Canadian work permit or study permit.
International Clearances
We offer support services for visa applications, including FBI report review and state certifications. This includes visa applications for countries such as New Zealand, Australia, UK, and others.
eTAs and Entry Visas for People From Visa-Required Countries
Citizens and permanent residents of the United States only need their passport and green card, if applicable, to enter Canada as a visitor.
People who are traveling on passports from “visa-required” countries must apply in advance for their visitor visa. To find out if your passport-issuing country is a visa-required country, visit the Government of Canada’s website.
Canadian Citizenship & Passports
For Canadian citizens outside of Canada, we can help assist with passport applications, including facilitating rush and emergency services through Canadian consulates, citizenship certificates for Canadians born outside of Canada, and notary services.
